FINDING JOY IN THE SIMPLE FLOWER
Van Gogh had the ability to bring simple flowers to life and Monet’s use of shadow, light and water showcased his lilies in this garden in France. The beauty of the simple flower is a reminder that we are part of things bigger than ourselves. We’ll use poetry and paints, pencils and brushes and the inspiration from artists past and present to create a project based on the flower. We also start with loose warm-ups and then begin our project. I’ll bring the supplies but if you have a favorite brush, pencil or watercolor paint box feel free to bring them along. This class runs through lunch...bring a bag lunch if you like.
